Architect, director of Architect and urbanist. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts.
After graduating from the Federal Polytechnic School (EPFL) in Zurich, she worked in several architecture studios in Los Angeles. After returning to Switzerland, she was a tutor at the EPFL in Lausanne and the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture. She has also taught in SCI-Arc Vico Morcote and has been head of the Istituto Internazionale di Architettura (i2a).
Together with Felix Wettstein, Ludovica Molo is a founding member of the Lugarno-based architecture studio We Architects. Notable among its projects are the morgue and the Casa dell’Accademia students’ residence in Mendrisio, and a private home in Bever. Since 2009, she has been a member of the Stadtbildkomission of the city of Berne and, since 2015, head of the Architecture and Structure branch of the master’s degree in Architecture at HSLLU – Y&A in Lucerne. In 2016, she was elected as eighth president of the FAS, Fédération des Architectes Suisses. She has also edited the book L’altro Movimento Moderno (Academy Press, 2015), by Kenneth Frampton.
