Karin Åberg Wærn

Senior Curator of the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design, member of the Expert Committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space since the 2014 edition.



Karin Åberg Wærn is the senior curator of the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design, in Stockholm. Since joining the center in 2001, she has curated exhibitions such as Stockholm City Hall (2011, with Evan Snyderman); Greta Magnusson Grossman: A Car and Some Shorts (2009, Evan Snyderman); On cities (2008, Cecilia Andersson); The New City Library (2007); Bruno Mathsson: Designer, Architect (2006, Hedvig Hedqvist); Amount (2006); Revision: Mama on the construction of history (2004); Our Nature (the contribution of the Nordic countries to the 2004 Venice Architecture Biennale) and Buildings and Landscape: works by Jan Gezelius (2003). Before joining the centre, she worked at the Gothenburg Museum of Art, where she organized several educational programs and exhibitions pm graphic arts. Åberg is a member of the Expert Committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space since the 2014 edition.
