Architect, President of the Portuguese Order of Architects and Professor at the Department of Architecture of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. Member of the Expert Committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space since 2016.
Portuguese Order of Architects for the 2014 - 2016 term. He succeeds João Belo Rodeia in this office. A 1983 graduate of the Lisbon School of Fine Arts, he worked with Manuel Vicente in Macao from 1986-1988, and then founded his own studio, Santa-Rita Architects, in Lisbon. He teaches in several Portuguese universities and has contributed to a number of educational meetings and conferences in the USA, Europe and Latin America. He is a member of the Expert Committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space since 2016.
