Architect. Member of the Prize's Board of Experts 2024

Gustavo Ribeiro is an architect and urbanist from the University of Brasilia. He has a Ph.D. from York University in strategic urban planning and sustainable urban development. Gustavo leads the Master's in Strategic Urban Planning at the Royal Danish Academy. He has previously been the director for the CITIES programme at the Danish Architecture Center and has worked as an urban planner in Copenhagen Municipality. His current research includes a study of urban density in collaboration with the City of Copenhagen and a cross-disciplinary project on the development for an AI risk-assessment tool for mosquito-borne diseases in urban areas in Sub-Saharan Africa.
