Architect and urban planner. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts 2012, 2016, 2018 and 2022.
Žaklina Gligorijevic holds an MS and a PhD degree in urban planning from Belgrade University, Faculty of Architecture, and is an alumna of the non-degree SPURS/MIT Program from the U.S. She has built a successful professional carrier in the private, NGO, and public sectors, where she accomplished remarkable results in planning sustainable urban development and promoting quality public space. Being focused on the public realm and strategic planning, she carried out in-depth work in education and communication, organized national and international projects, conferences, exhibitions and design competitions. She was director of the Centre for Planning Urban Development (2002/03) and the Urban Planning Institute of Belgrade (2008-2012); she has been an active member of the Belgrade Association of Architects, Urban Planners, ISoCaRP, and Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE).
Currently works as a senior urban consultant in EU and WB projects in Serbia.
