Pelin Derviş

Researcher, editor, writer and exhibition curator. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts (2012-2022).

Among her main interests are contemporary urban matters and documentation of modern architecture and design in Turkey. She contributed in the founding and development efforts of “SALT Research, Architecture and Design Archive.”

She also has taken part as an editor/writer to various publications based on contemporary Istanbul, and 20th century architecture and design in Turkey. Collaborated with the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art where she coordinated exhibitions of the VitrA Contemporary Architecture Series and the Young Architects Programme (YAP), which was carried out in collaboration with The Museum of Modern Art, MoMA / MoMA PS1. Coordinated the exhibition and publication project “Places of Memory” for the Pavilion of Turkey at the 14th Venice Biennale. She has curated exhibitions and programs of “Design Chronology Turkey | Draft”, “Architectural Model Making in Turkey”, and Yılmaz Zenger at Studio-X Istanbul in collaboration with the Istanbul Design Biennial.
