Malin Zimm

Architect, director of the Arkitecktur-ochdesigncentrum and member of the Expert Committee of the European Prize for Urban Public Space since the 2014 edition.

Malin Zimm is senior adviser in architecture at the at the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design. Zimm is an architect, trained at School of Architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, Stockholm, and Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, London. Zimm completed her Ph D in architecture in 2005, with the thesis Losing the Plot – Architecture and Narrativity in Fin-de-Siècle Media Cultures. Previously chief editor of the architectural journal Rum, she has worked as a freelance writer and lecturer, and as a teacher both at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design and at the KTH School of Architecture, Royal Institute of Technology. On a freelance basis, Zimm is currently developing a podcast called Radie (radius), examining social development and cultural phenomena in relation to architecture and design.
