Public space or show room? The very valuable collection of projects that the CCCB has been putting together over the years, as with the European Archive for Urban Public Space, can simultaneously give rise to contradictory feelings of admiration and misgiving.
The autor reflects on the European Prize for Urban Public Space, from his experience as a member of the jury since 2002.
Based on the analysis of the winning works of the European Prize for Urban Public Space, the author reflects on the sense of urbanity, the ability to coexist, of public space.
The Contact Territories workshop has concluded with the final presentation of projects related with Public Space Design and fruit of a joint initiative of ETSAV (Vallès School of Architecture) and the European Prize for Urban Public Space.
The jury considers this project an exemplary intervention for the survival of our cities in this new climate era.
Workshop that brings together students from ETSAV for a week with the aim of analysing and discussing about the management of resources in densified spaces, such as those of the district of Ciutat Vella.
After meeting on 14th and 15th July, the international Jury of the 2022 European Prize for Urban Public Space has chosen the 5 finalists for this year’s award.
