Shall We Travel?

Itineraries through the world designed by and for architects.

Do you have a chance to travel and want a change of air? If you haven’t decided where to go yet, we can offer a few suggestions by some professionals of architecture tourism.
The Mies van de Rohe Foundation and MAHALA Cultural Management are working on a trip in the Ruhr Region of Germany from 24 to 28 May. This zone is scattered with numerous architectural works by some of the great names in international architecture, for example Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Herzog & de Meuron, Norman Foster, SANAA, Alvar Aalto and Peter Zumthor.

You can find other architecturally interesting destinations in this travel guide,
both in Europe (Alvar Aalto’s Finland, the Berlin of Bauhaus and Mies van der Rohe, or Peter Zumthor’s Switzerland and Austria) and in further-flung places (the India and Chandigarh of Le Corbusier, and the new architecture of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar).

If, however, you’re interested in Spain’s premier sites for architecture, we recommend that you consult this page which specialises in guided tours of architecture, design and contemporary art through several Spanish cities.

Bon voyage, wherever you go!
