Pelin Derviş

Architect, researcher, editor, writer and exhibition curator. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts (2012-2024)

Her focus is on contemporary urban matters and documentation of modern architecture and design in Turkey. She has taken part as an editor/writer/curator/researcher to various publications and exhibitions. Since 2020, she is publishing her research projects under Pelin Derviş Publication Project, a self-publishing company.

She contributed to the founding and development efforts of “SALT Research, Architecture and Design Archive.” She collaborated with the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art where she coordinated exhibitions of the VitrA Contemporary Architecture Series and the Young Architects Programme (YAP), which was carried out in collaboration with The Museum of Modern Art, MoMA / MoMA PS1. Coordinated the exhibition and publication project “Places of Memory” for the Pavilion of Turkey at the 14th Venice Biennale. She has curated exhibitions and programs of “Design Chronology Turkey | Draft”, “Architectural Model Making in Turkey”, and Yılmaz Zenger at Studio-X Istanbul in collaboration with the Istanbul Design Biennial. Currently, she is contributing to the founding efforts of the Architecture Gallery Istanbul, initiated by The Circle.
