Professor in Ecological Economics and Environmental Studies

Professor in Ecological Economics and Environmental Studies, PhD, Environmental Studies, York University. Director, CEARC, Deputy Dean, OVSQ (Observatoire de Versailles Saint-Quentin). He is currently focusing is research activities on adaptation to climate change as a key thematic area. He works with local communities, analyzing how climate change is, or will potentially, impact their daily lives. He analyzes adaptation to climate change using risk governance as a conceptual entry point as well as integrated analysis. His main geographical focus is the coastal zone.

He is also conducting research on the epistemic dimension of interdisciplinary work. In terms of method he uses grounded theory in order to analyze qualitative data (corpuses) and to develop theoretical proposition. that are grounded in the heuristics of the research subjects he is working with. He recently initiated a new research stream using art and science integration as a data collection and analysis methodological device.
