Louise Amoore

Working on issues of risk, economy and security at the Institute for Hazard and Risk Research

She works in the Department of Geography at Durham University.
She has written several articles on the subject, the most recent ones of which, dealing with biometry and aspects of violence in the war on terror, have been published by such reviews as Political Geography and Security Dialogue. She is presently completing the book Economies of Exception, which discusses the different models of risk that have appeared with the practices associated with security in today’s world.
