Aysin Ipekci

Architect and curator. 

Aysin Ipekci dedicates her activities to public space and the responsibility within this field. Considering design as a polymath, she continuously seeks extracurricular cooperation such as communication design, art, sociology and material sciences.

After graduation from TU Aachen, she developed an international background in Germany, Israel, Japan, and Turkey. Lecturer at FH Düsseldorf from 2003 to 2005 in charge of the International Programme with Visiting Professors. Assistant Professor at BU Wuppertal from 2005 to 2012. Founder of STUDYO in 2007. Board Member of Association of Germany Architects BDA Cologne from 2010 to 2021, Association of Young Architects from 2012 to 2019. Frequent jury in competitions, since 2017, jury and nominator’s committee to an artists award annually issued by the Ministry of Culture NRW [Förderpreis des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen für junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler]. Visiting Professor for »Design and Construction« at Detmold School from 2020 to 2021. Advisory Board in the category »building« within Cologne’s Climate Council. Editorial and curatorial work.
