After graduating in Humanities and History of Art from the University of Stockholm and in Ethnology and Audiovisual Communication from the University of Gothenburg, she has worked as a professional in several cultural institutions as a curator, documentalist, and producer.

Her professional career began as a curator at the Gothenburg Museum of Art where she worked for eight years from 1987 to 1995, and this was followed by a year at the Röhsska Museum. She then moved to Stockholm where she worked, first, as a documentalist in the National Museum of Stockholm and then in ArkDes, Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design (previously known as Arkitekturmuseet). In ArkDes she worked in different capacities on a number of projects from 2001 until 2017: curator, project manager, head of exhibitions, and education. Among the projects she has worked on is Against Design, an exhibition devoted to the artist Josef Frank. Since 2017, she has been freelancing and working with different artistic projects in national museums.
