"Polis" Exhibition in Budaörs (Hungary)

Association of Architects "Húsznegyven"

The exhibition "Polis. 7 lessons of the European Prize for Urban Public Space" travels to Budaörs, after its time in Budapest. It will open Friday 13 April and will be shown along a series on the processes of urbanistic planning in Europe.

The exhibition «Polis. 7 lliçons del Premi Europeu de l’Espai Públic Urbà» (Polis. 7 Lessons of the European Prize for Urban Public Space) continues its visits of institutions and cultural centers all around Europe. It now moves to Budaörs, a town situated in the Budapest Metropolitan Area, where it will be exhibited until 29 April.

The organizer and responsible of bringing the exhibition to the citizens of Budaörs is the Association of Architects “Húsznegyven”. It will be shown at the Zichy Major art gallery, situated in the city center. «Polis. 7 lliçons del Premi Europeu de l’Espai Públic Urbà» will be part of a series focusing on urban planning in the cities of Eastern Europe in recent years, seen from a global and, more specifically, European perspective.

Through various activities, like the projection of shorts films and round tables, amongst others, the series incentivizes reflection on matters like the importance of public space and the collective efforts directed to city regeneration.

The Association of Architects “Húsznegyven” is an organization formed by architects, urbanists and other professionals working on public space. The exhibition counts with the backing of the Budapest Contemporary Architecture Center and the cultural association “Kultúraktiv”.
