Salma Dalmuji

Architect

Consultant who specialises in Islamic architecture, urban development and architectural rehabilitation. She has a doctorate from the Royal College of Art of London.
She has been architectural adviser to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture of Abu Dhabi. She has also worked as a consultant in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Oman and Yemen, where she is presently engaged in research on the country’s vernacular architecture. She wrote the book The Architecture of Oman (Reading, 1998) and edited The Architecture of the Holy Mosque Makkah (Hazard Publishing Limited, 1998), among other publications.
