Konstantinos Ioannidis

Architect. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts (2014-2024)

An architect and writer, he studied Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and obtained a master’s degree in Spatial Psychology at the Panteion University of Athens, and a PhD from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He has taught Architecture and Design at universities in Greece, Denmark, and Norway and has taken part in conferences and seminars in Europe, Canada, the United States, South Korea, and Japan. His work has been published in several international journals.

He is co-founder of the Oslo-based architecture studio Aaiko Arkitekter, which has won prizes for the design of its projects and has taken part in exhibitions in Greece and Scandinavia. He is co-editor of the books CyberParks – The Interface Between People, Places and Technology (Springer, 2019) and The Making of the Mediated Public Space. Essays on Emerging Urban Phenomena (Ediçoes Universitárias Lusófanas, COST, 2017), and also author of Designing the Edge (Royal Institute of Technology, 2011).
