Viktor Zotov

Architect. Member of the Prize’s Board of Experts.

Viktor Zotov studied Architecture at the National University of Construction and Architecture in Kharkiv, Ukraine and, from 1986 to 1989, worked as an architect in the State University of Mariupol, his home town. In 1989 he won a competition for designing residential blocks after which he worked on this project as chief architect until 1992. The same year he founded Architectural Bureau, also in Mariupol, and was its head architect until 2003.

In 2004 he opened Zotov & Co and moved to Kiev. Zotov & Co is internationally oriented and has worked with other big studios like BIG, MAXWAN, EM2N, JWA, Transsolar and KS-Ingenieure, et cetera. Since 2008 he has been curator of the CANactions International Architecture Festival, of which he is also the founder. Under the auspices of the festival he has also been in charge of organising the School for Urban Studies CANactions since 2015.
