PhD from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. She worked with Enric Miralles before co-founding a studio with Ricardo Flores in 1998. Her best-known works include the Sala Beckett in Barcelona and the Casal Balaguer Cultural Centre in Palma. She has received international awards, including the Grand Award from the Royal Academy of Arts and the Dedalo Minosse International Award, and her work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and in museums such as the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel, and the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
She combines her professional practice with teaching and has taught at various universities, including ETSAB, ETH Zürich, RMIT and Arizona State University, and since 2023 she has been a full professor at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio.
She is the author of books and essays on architecture, such as Flores & Prats. Dibujar sin borrar y otros ensayos [Flores & Prats: Drawing Without an Eraser and Other Essays] and Building Communities.
