Architect

Director of the architecture studio Miralles Tagliabue EMBT, founded in 1994 in collaboration with Enric Miralles, with offices in Barcelona, Shanghai, and Paris. The studio works in the fields of architecture, public space design, rehabilitation, interior design, and industrial design.

Among its most notable built works are the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, the Santa Caterina Market in Barcelona, the University Campus of Vigo, and the Spanish Pavilion at the Shanghai 2010 World Expo, awarded the RIBA Prize. Current projects of the studio include the Business School of Fudan University in Shanghai; office towers in Xiamen and Taichung; public spaces in HafenCity, Hamburg; the Clichy-Montfermeil metro station in Paris, France; and the Underground Central Station in Naples, Italy, among others.

In the academic field, she has been a visiting professor at Harvard University, Columbia University, and ETSAB in Barcelona, regularly giving lectures at architecture forums and universities, and serving on juries around the world, including the Pritzker Prize.
