The artist discusses the social implications of a project of installing a moving stairway in this traditionally conflictive neighbourhood of Medellín. The escalator has replaced the 350 steps that more than twelve thousand citizens had to climb every day. The project, carried out from and for the community, has been completed in collaboration with local residents.
