The Medellín-Barcelona Chair has organised a conference in which the members of the delegation of Catalan architects who visited Medellín in December 2011 – Guillén Augé, Josep Bohigas, Álex Gimenéz and David Bravo, the latter of whom represented the CCCB and the European Prize for Urban Public Space – will share their experiences of the city of Medellín and will present the project on housing and public space, on which they are presently working. Judit Carrera, head of the CCCB’s Centre for Documentation and Debate, will be the conference moderator.

The urban planning programme of the Medellín-Barcelona Chair has the two cities as its classroom, while itineraries, seminars, workshops and meetings are its teaching methods. Exchanges and coming together of projects comprise the content of the Chair’s work and the hoped-for result is the meeting and melding between Barcelona and Medellín, between architects and urban planners, between joint and independent projects.
